What the statutes mean

If you issue a written or verbal order for a patient to take any substance to help diagnose a condition, treat or cure a condition, mitigate a condition, or prevent a condition, the substance by definition of this statute is a drug. Wisconsin law prohibits a chiropractor from prescribing drugs. Chiropractors are only allowed to sell nutritional supplements if they have taken the education required by the state and passed the required exam.
