Dar Griffeth, DC  received his undergraduate degrees in May of 2000 from University of Texas at Dallas, with honors in Biology and Anatomical Sciences. He then attended Parker College of Chiropractic and graduated Magna Cum Laude and valedictorian with a Doctorate of Chiropractic in 2005. Dr. Griffeth's post-graduate studies emphasize extremities and common patterns associated with global postural distortions. He is currently a guest lecturer/instructor for the Charrette Chiropractic Extremity Protocols.

Course Description:
This seminar is a refresher on the biomechanics of the body and a closer look at the interconnections of the different systems that are working in our everyday activities. The basic approach is a step-by-step analysis that determines the specific diagnostics a practitioner can take to make each visit a unique teaching opportunity. You will learn a more effective plan of attack for the treatment of each individual patient with their specific needs in mind and not just a ‘cookie cutter’ approach to patient management.

John Massare, DC, ATC earned his degree from Texas Chiropractic College and while attending TCC, he was invited to be a Teacher’s Assistant to Orthopedic I, II, and III labs and was an Attending Clinician Assistant. Dr. Massare works with many college and Olympic athletes and is currently practicing at Hatmaker Chiropractic in Galveston, TX.

Course Description:
All chiropractors are welcome to take this course, even if they are not seeking CCSP certification. In this class Dr. Massare will discuss the different types of therapies and their clinical applications which will be a great refresher for anyone who has previously been trained. Electrical, deep heat, ultrasound, cryotherapy, infrared, laser, mechanical, ultraviolet, and soft tissue are among the therapies that will be discussed as well as taping procedures and applications..


 

 

Dan Richardson, PhD
Chiropractic Nutrition – Module 21

Dan Richardson, PhD received his Masters & PhD from Loyola University, Stritch School of Medicine in pharmacology and pharmacognosy. He is a prominent expert in pharmacology, nutrition, and botanical medicine, having given seminars around the world to health care professionals. He is a professor and chairman of Clinical Nutrition and Biochemical Therapeutics at National University of Health Sciences as well as aprofessor and chairman of Nutrition and Dean of Students at the National College of Naprapathic Medicine.

Course Description:
Chiropractors who complete this course may not only sell supplements, vitamins, and herbs, they may also provide counsel, direction, guidance, advice, or recommendations to their patients regarding the health effects of these substances. You may attend any module from any speaker at any location. The state requires a test at the end of each module. Since the modules are self-contained, they may be taken in any order.

Nutrition Protocol: Eating & Supplementing for Acute Injury, the Healing Process & Optimal Recovery

Larry Plotkin, DC, earned his chiropractic degree from the National College of Chiropractic and is currently practicing in Baltimore, MD. Dr. Plotkin is certified as a Strength and Conditioning Specialist (CSCS) and Sports Nutrition Consultant (CNC). In addition to teaching CE courses, he is currently teaching in the Kinesiology Department at the University of Maryland and works with various sports teams as team chiropractor, strength and conditioning coach, and nutrition consultant.

Course Description
This class will review how certain foods not only affect the healing process but may actually cause a condition to develop. It will also help a DC understand how certain hormones and biochemical pathways have direct effect on inflammation, maintaining ideal body weight, and increasing lean muscle mass. Proper supplementation will be covered along with what actually works and does not work to aid in acute pain and recovery.

His seminars are noted for their direct, practical, and humorous approach to problem solving.

Course Description
Profitability in a practice is much more than increasing patient visits. There are numerous factors that impact your bottom line and the CA Problem Solving Workshop will give your staff the opportunity to learn the most effective strategies to deal with some of their most troublesome problems.

This innovative program allows chiropractic staffs to learn from each other and to be exposed to the “best practices” in the state. In a “roundtable” format, your staff will exchange solutions on some of their most difficult challenges including:
